Meet the Doctor

DR. BILL CORRIGAN

Dr. Bill Corrigan uses chiropractic care to improve the health and wellness in all areas of patient's lives, whether they are having problems with back pain or neck pain, or just want to start feeling better when they wake up in the morning. Dr. Corrigan takes a "whole person" approach in chiropractic care, which means looking for the underlying causes of disease, discomfort, and pain, as opposed to just treating the symptoms. Many seemingly unrelated symptoms often arise from imbalances in the spinal column, and Dr. Corrigan will be able to determine the root of the pain and create a personalized chiropractic and wellness plan to suit each patient's individual needs. Under the supervision and care of our caring and skilled chiropractor, patients report higher functioning in all areas of their lives.

Dr. Bill is a licensed chiropractor in the State of Connecticut who serves the East Haven and Bridgeport communities. Dr. Corrigan has post-graduate certifications in Ultrasound of Traumatic Injuries and Soft Tissue Injuries from Texas Chiropractic College, Sports Injuries for the Primary Care Physician from the Mt. Siani School of Medicine, and Sports-Related Conference on Concussion and Spine Injury from Harvard Medical School. He received earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in December of 1999 from the University of Bridgeport, Chiropractic College.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM INTEGRATED CHIROPRACTIC

Upon entering our office, our office manager will ask that you complete patient forms and registration. Once all these things are completed, you will be seen by Dr. Bill Corrigan.

We will then perform a complete chiropractic exam. Depending on the condition, a patient may be referred for outpatient diagnostic testing for any health conditions that may be occurring. All these tests will be collected along with your health history and the doctor will discuss with you the best technique to treat your condition, taking into consideration the amount of visits and your work or personal schedule. At the conclusion of your first visit, you will be given a scheduled care plan and a reexamination date to determine the gains made and the need for additional care or possible referral.

Phase 1: Relief Care

If you are in pain when you come into our office, the first objective is to help you feel better. Depending on the severity of your problem, it is typical to need care two to three times per week for four to 12 weeks.

Phase 2: Corrective/Restorative Care

During the corrective care phase, muscles and other tissues are allowed to heal more completely, thereby helping prevent injury. It is typical to need care four to eight times per month for six to 24 months, depending on your overall health and the severity of your problem.

Phase 3: Wellness Care

Once your body has fully healed, it is important to come in for periodic adjustments to avoid problems in the future. Usually, this only requires a quick visit to the chiropractor one to four times per month, based on your lifestyle and goals.

Payment Options

Integrated Chiropractic and Wellness believes in the value of chiropractic care for you and your family toward the goal of achieving total health and wellness. Our goal at Advanced Spinal Care is to allow everyone to experience the benefits of chiropractic care and adjustments. For patients who have little or no chiropractic insurance coverage, we can work with you to arrange a flexible payment program that fits your budget. Many patients choose to pay directly for their visits with the chiropractor, especially as they discover that chiropractic care is actually extremely cost-effective and affordable. For these patients, chiropractic care is often cheaper and more effective than alternative pain treatments such as pain medications or invasive surgery.
